Description
The Lantern is a traditional townhouse with eight en suite rooms and one self contained family apartment on the top floor with two rooms sharing a bathroom. We have a ground floor bedroom for guests who may have difficulty with the stairs.
A cosy lounge area and breakfast area are available for guests on the ground floor. Breakfast is served between 8.30am and 10am The breakfast consists of a variety of fruit juices, yoghurts, grapefruit segments, fresh fruit salad, cereals, fresh fruit, tea or coffee, toast and brown bread. Followed by a choice of cooked breakfasts. Special dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.
Location
The Lantern Townhouse is in the main street of Dingle town, adjacent to the AIB bank. There are regular bus services to and from Tralee railway station to Dingle Town.
The Dingle peninsula has a special magic "a kind of
timelessness,almost as if one had stumbled upon a lost world", with its breath-taking beauty, where the light and scenery changes with every turn of the road.
The peninsula is one of the richest areas in archaeological remains on the West Coast of Europe. A haven for walkers and popular with cyclists, horse riders and golfers, the scenery is unique.
The love of our native tongue, Gaeilge is very evident here. We have a great pride in our culture, traditions and heritage and are eager to welcome and
introduce our visitors to this. We have over the years attracted many artists and crafts people from all over the globe. World renowned potters,
weavers, painters and writers have made this area their home.
So be warned, you may come here for a holiday and never leave!
